Hitachi's Mu-chip Hibiki Granted International Certification

Hitachi announced that the Ubiquitous ID Center in Japan has certified its RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) smart tag mu-chip Hibiki as conforming to the ucode (ubiquitous ID) technology. Furthermore, EPCglobal, an RFID standardization organization based in Brussels, is likely to approve of mu-chip Hibiki in 2007 at the earliest. Both certifications are expected to establish mu-chip Hibiki as an international smart tag standard.
